Department of Pesticides Registration of the Central Control and Testing Institute in Agriculture in Bratislava (hereinafter referred to as „the Control Institute“) hereby informs all applicants for authorisation of plant protection products that on the basis of art. 33 (6) of Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market and repealing Council Directives 79/117/EEC and 91/414/EEC will require for all applications for authorisation of a new plant protection product including mutual recognition except other particulars also a submission of a sample of the plant protection product for which the application is submitted..

Central Control and Testing Institute in Agriculture in Bratislava (hereinafter called „Control Institute“) would like to inform the professional agricultural community and all interested parties about the launch of a web application for plant protection products called „Informačný systém pre prípravky na ochranu rastlín“ (hereinafter called „ISPOR“) – Information System for Plant Protection Products.

We would like to draw your attention to the annual obligation of authorisation holders and parallel trade permit holders to submit data on sales amounts of authorised and permitted plant protection products and auxiliary products used in plant protection for the calendar year. The report on sales amounts for the year 2017 shall be sent to the Central Control and Testing Institute in Agriculture (hereinafter called „the Control Institute“) by 31st january 2018 at the latest. We would like to remind authorisation holders of plant protection products containing active substances for which the approval was renewed as from 1 May 2017 (prosulfuron) that they are obliged to submit applications for renewal of authorisations of the products containing these substances together with other elements in accordance with Art. 43 (2) of the Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market and repealing Council Directives 79/117/EEC and 91/414/EEC and in accordance with Guidance Document on the Renewal of Authorisations according to Article 43 of Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 SANCO/2010/13170 to the Department of Pesticides Registration of the Central Control and Testing Institute in Agriculture (Ústredný kontrolný a skúšobný ústav poľnohospodársky v Bratislave, odbor registrácie pesticídov) by 1 August 2017 at the latest. Applications must be submitted for all authorised plant protection products containing the above-mentioned active substances either as the only substance or in combination with other active substances including all identical products. For plant protection products containing active substance identified as a candidate for substitution a comparative assessment must be added to the application as well. Non-submission of an application for a product renewal will lead to expiry or withdrawal of authorisation of the relevant product (in the case of longer authorisation period).
