The Central Control and Testing Institute in Agriculture in Bratislava (hereinafter called „the Control Institute“) informs authorisation holders, parallel trade permit holders and users of plant protection products that the approval of the active substances metiram and clofentezine was not renewed with the Commission Implementing Regulations (EU) No 2023/2455 and No 2023/2456. As a result of this the Control Institute will withdraw authorizations and parallel trade permits of plant protection products containing this active substances. Authorizations and parallel trade permits of plant protection products containing the active substance metiram will be withdrawn as of 28 May 2024 while the grace period for sale, distribution, storage, use and disposal will be allowed in accordance with the regulation No 2023/2455 until 28 November 2024. Authorizations and parallel trade permits of plant protection products containing the active substance clofentezine will be withdrawn as of 11 May 2024 while the grace period for sale, distribution, storage, use and disposal will be allowed in accordance with the regulation No 2023/2456 until 11 November 2024. We therefore recommend the agricultural public to take these facts into account when planning the purchase and application of these plant protection products.
